Christopher Michael Dofelmier 30, of Prineville, Oregon passed away at his home Thursday, April 28, 2011. A memorial service will be held Friday, May 6, 2011 at Calvary Baptist Church, 2241 N. Main St., Prineville, OR 97754 at 2:00 p.m.
Chris was born March 3, 1981 in Reno, NV to Laverne “Skip” and Billie (Ritter) Dofelmier. He attended Crook County High School and later received his GED. Afterwards he moved to Phoenix, AZ and worked at What-A-Burger for 2 years. He came back to Prineville in 1999. He went on to work for Club Pioneer, Leathers Oil, I-Sky, Chase Doors and Apple Peddler and also worked for Clear Pine Molding for 6 years. He married Tina Ueland on May 20, 2000 in Prineville, Oregon. They later divorced.
Chris was a past member of the Boy Scouts. He loved to go camping and fly fishing. He also got great joy out of being a part of the puppet ministry at church, being a part of the praise team and also enjoyed tying flies. He was also taking classes and was proud that he was going to be completing them.
Chris is survived by his parents, Skip and Billie Dofelmier of Prineville, OR; son Michael Dofelmier of Prineville, step-daughters Megan and Mellisa Allison, Prineville, OR; sister Laura Dofelmier of Brooklyn, NY; brother Doug Dofelmier of Everett, WA.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents.
